The Gassho Center is delighted to welcome senior meditation teacher Christopher Luard for a series of meditation sessions, Wisdom Talks and a silent retreat in the mountain.
November 14th: Meditation and the Art of Happiness.
There are hundreds of studies showing us that meditation can lead to a happier, more peaceful existence. In this talk Christopher discusses how and why the practice of mindfulness meditation can help us lead a happier life. This talk includes an hour presentation followed by a 30 minute question and answer session.
Sessions are Php 500 for payments up to one week from the date of the event.

About the teacher: After studying and practicing meditation for the past 32 years, Christopher is now the director of the Such Sweet Thunder meditation program. Chris teaches from the belief that the practice of meditation can bring about a much-needed inner peace and harmony.
Christopher has received formal training in Japanese Zen; Mahamudra, Dzochen from the Tibetan traditions, Vipassana and Vedanta from the Indian traditions, and Mindfulness and Shambhala from the relatively modern American traditions. He has attended numerous training retreats, taking on the life of a monk in monasteries in Nepal, California, and New York.
